Job Title: Project Superintendent
Reports to: Vice President of Field Operations
Overview: Oversees all construction field operations of the project
Responsible for:
• Understanding all aspects of Construction Documents
• Maintaining labor material, equipment, and trucking budgets
• Coordinating Hiring/laying off craft labor
• Scheduling and sequencing work – overall schedule and two-week look ahead
• Collaborating with Project Managers to update Project Schedule
• Coordinating, inspecting and verifying quantities of material deliveries to project
• Tracking all construction equipment on project, Fahs equipment and/or rented equipment, ensuring equipment is properly running, efficiently maintained and inspections are done daily and as required
• Managing on-site Foreman
• Tracking all changes on project including notification to the on the Project including notification to the On-Site Owner’s Representative and to the Project Manager so written notification can be issued
• Ensuring all hand tools on project are safe, inventoried, maintained and used properly
• Maintaining and completing daily reports along with all required safety documentation in Fahs reporting software HH2 and submitting to the Office on a weekly basis
• Compiling weekly craft payroll and coding to correct labor class
• Conducting weekly safety/toolbox talks, daily walk-throughs and inspections and maintaining SDS for Fahs and Subcontractors
• Managing and enforcing all OSHA rules and regulations along with Fahs safety policies and procedures with subs and Fahs work force
• Ensuring quality of workmanship performed on project – Fahs work as well as subcontractors
• Tracking of all materials rentals such as: forms and scaffolding, ensuring that all are maintained, in good working order and returned in same condition as received
• Verifying all subcontractors are progressing the project, working with them to solve any issues and ensuring that they are installing per contract documents, conducting at a minimum, weekly progress meeting with subs
• Reviewing subcontractor billings with Project Manager
• Coding all packing material lists delivered to project and submitting them to office on a weekly basis
• Keeping a constant line of communication with Project Manager
• Reviewing pencil copy for payment application with Project Manager and getting approval from Owner’s Representative
• Maintaining a list of job applicants and submitting a copy to payroll clerk on a weekly basis
• Identifying back charge situations, acquiring tracking cost code from Project Manager, writing up time & material tickets with back-up invoices/tickets for materials and Subcontractors and forwarding information to Project Manager
• Developing and administering Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Obtaining Job Site Office trailer(s), storage trailer(s), sanitary facilities, dumpster service, janitorial service (if needed), recycling service etc.
• Taking photos/video of existing conditions prior to the start of work and progress photos of the job as it progresses
• Arranging for temporary electric, water, sanitary, HVAC, phone, data, etc, as needed
• Scheduling and assuring all tests are witnessed by Owner’s Representative or Testing Agency
• Obtaining permits, as required
• Maintaining and updating record drawings (as-builts) on a daily basis
• Assisting in collection of turnover items and extra stock
• Ensuring completion of punch list items in a timely manner
• Other construction related duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• High School diploma/GED
• Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent role (commercial, higher education and healthcare construction experience preferred)
• Knowledge in civil engineering, construction and architectural principles, practices and methods
• Sound understanding of workplace safety, budgeting and employee supervision
• Familiar with construction management software such as: Prolog, MS Project, Excel, Sure Trak, submittal exchange
• Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications
• Excellent written, communication, organization, analytical and prioritization skills
• Ability to work well in a fast- paced environment

Work Environment:
• May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
• May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
• Will climb ladders
• Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud
• Required to wear Fahs issued hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses
• Reliable transportation required

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations: OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred
