Fahs Construction Group Hiring Project Superintendents for projects across upstate NY

As a Project Superintendent, you’ll take ownership of field operations on a commercial, higher ed, or healthcare project from layout through closeout, with real say in how the job gets built and a team behind you that takes pride in doing it right. What You Can Expect

As a Project Superintendent, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Field Leadership

    • Run day-to-day site operations from layout through punch list
    • Manage on-site foremen and scale craft labor to the work
    • Set up site logistics, temporary utilities, and drive testing, permits, and turnover

    Schedule & Budget

    • Build and maintain the schedule, including two-week look-aheads, with the Project Manager
    • Hold labor, material, equipment, and trucking budgets
    • Coordinate deliveries, verify quantities, and track equipment with daily inspections

    Subcontractor & Quality Management

    • Run weekly progress meetings, keep subs on contract and schedule, review billings
    • Uphold Fahs quality standards on self-performed and subcontracted work
    • Track changes, back charges, and T&M tickets

    Safety & Documentation

    • Lead weekly toolbox talks, daily walk-throughs, and OSHA/Fahs compliance
    • Keep daily reports, safety documentation, and payroll current in HH2

How You Know to Apply

You’re a strong candidate for this role if you bring:

Knowledge & Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent role (commercial, higher education, and healthcare construction experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of civil engineering, construction, and architectural principles, practices, and methods
  • Sound understanding of workplace safety, budgeting, and crew supervision
  • Proficiency reading building plans and specifications
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Prolog, MS Project, Excel, SureTrak, and Submittal Exchange
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods
  • Bend, squat, climb stairs/ladders regularly
  • Lift up to 100 lbs frequently

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outdoor elements, including heat above 100°F and cold below 32°F
  • May walk on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • Will climb ladders
  • Loud construction noise levels expected
  • Required PPE: Fahs-issued hard hat, vest, and safety glasses
  • Reliable transportation required

Certifications

  • OSHA 10 required
  • OSHA 30 preferred
