Join the FAHS Construction team as a Form Carpenter! This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects. As a Form Carpenter, you will help build the structures that support our communities, from foundations to finishing touches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform physical labor tasks at assigned job sites
  • Read and follow blueprints to meet the needs of the building owner
  • Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, and hardware
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials including wood, plastic, fiberglass, metal studs, and drywall
  • Construct building frameworks including wall studs, floor joists, and doorframes
  • Assist in the installation of foundation formwork using cranes and heavy equipment
  • Inspect, repair, and replace damaged frameworks and structures
  • Lead and guide laborers and other construction helpers
  • Pour, form, and finish concrete
  • Lift and carry heavy objects as needed
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform other construction-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience or an equivalent role
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Experience with Simmons Panels is a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • Strong time management and decision-making abilities
  • Willingness to travel to various FAHS construction sites
  • Physically and mentally fit for construction work

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods
  • Frequent bending, squatting, and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a regular basis

Work Environment:

  • Work in a range of temperatures, including above 100°F and below 32°F
  • Navigate slippery or uneven surfaces
  • Climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise
  • Wear FAHS-issued safety gear, including hard hat, safety vest, and glasses
  • Reliable transportation is required
